A direct checkout link is a special URL for one product. When someone opens it, the product is added to the cart and they are taken straight to checkout. These links are useful in emails, social posts, ads, and “Buy now” buttons on your own site.
Requirements
Direct checkout links only work when:
- The product is paid (not a free catalog download)
- You have selected a Checkout Page under Settings → General → Core Pages
- The product has at least one paid pricing option configured
If the checkout page is missing, the product editor shows a message asking you to select a Checkout Page under Settings. If pricing is incomplete, it asks you to configure a paid pricing option first.
How To Copy A Link
- Edit the product.
- Open the Pricing box and scroll to Direct checkout link.
- If the product has more than one license tier, choose the License you want the link to use.
- If it is a subscription with both monthly and yearly prices, choose the Billing period.
- Click Copy link.
The URL is built from your configured checkout page and updates if you change that page later in settings. You do not need to rebuild links by hand after renaming the checkout page, as long as the page assignment in settings is correct.
When To Use Them
- Promotional emails: “Buy the spring bundle”
- Social media bios or posts
- Buttons on a sales page that is not the product page itself
- Affiliate or partner links that should skip browsing
Customers can still use the normal product page and cart if they prefer. Direct links are an extra path, not a replacement for your catalog.
